FOKUS and our member organisations cooperate with women’s organisations and institutions in eight countries on long term aid programmes. FOKUS’ local partner organisations are independent and legitimate organisations, which are representative of the different programmes’ target groups.

FOKUS works for a society based on equality and equity, where women’s human rights are respected and protected. A donation to FOKUS contributes to our work to strengthen women’s power, rights and access to resources, in cooperation with local women’s organisations.
Forum for Women and Development works to strengthen women’s rights and opportunities through development cooperation in eight countries in East Africa and Latin America. As a membership-based competence and resource centre, FOKUS is an advocate for international efforts to achieve gender equality.
