Access to services can mitigate conflict and the peace dividends of basic service delivery are increasingly documented. Women in fragile contexts often face serious obstacles in accessing key services and are in many instances marginalized from the service planning processes. Women¡¦s participation in the design-process and decision-making stage of public services can be secured by consulting women¡¦s civil society and also by ensuring the presence of women employed in the service delivery chain.
UNDP, Norwegian Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Norad, UNWOMEN and FOKUS invite you to a seminar to review programming, policy and knowledge on service delivery to women in fragile states. The seminar will be interactive and policies, strategies and good practices will be shared among the participants.
• Introductory remarks: Norwegian MFA and UNDP Oslo Governance Centre
• Presentation: UN Women
• Moderated panel discussion and Q&A with audience:
o Bjorg Skotnes (Gender Director, NORAD)
