FOKUS - Forum for Women and Development, in collaboration with FORUM 1325, invites you to a panel discussion where Nobel Peace Prize laureate Tawakkol Karman, together with leading researchers, activists and international diplomats, will discuss the impact of the 2011 Nobel Peace Prize on conflict resolution and peacebuilding efforts made by women across the world.

Part 1
Security Council resolution 1325 gives a framework and guidelines for work on women, peace and security. It has been followed up by additional resolutions in the past few years to strengthen the work. What are the results so far, what is needed in the future and will the Nobel Peace Prize have an impact?
How can we promise women in conflict and post-conflict today that there is a functioning framework when we still have past conflicts where situations are unsolved – e.g. Bosnia and Guatemala?
